3 Home Enhancement Ideas for Your Current Space

Updated: Feb 2

Why build new when you can remodel?

Remodeling your home can be a huge undertaking. The dust, the mess, the expense — it is often more overwhelming than you planned for. But enhancing your current space doesn’t always have to be a major endeavor. Sometimes the most impactful design changes are also the simplest.

Today, I’m sharing three ways to update your home without changing its footprint...

# 1: The Kitchen

A great place to start enhancing your home is in the kitchen. Replacing old door cabinets with pull-out drawers, rethinking your cabinet layout, and adding in some functionality with the proper inserts are all ways you can rethink your kitchen without needing to change the footprint.

#2: The Exterior

Crammed for space? Go out instead of in. Use the fall to plan your outdoor space to use it to its full potential. Adding a deck, a firepit, or patio dining space are all ways to expand your living capacity with space you already have available.

#3: Add New "Walls"

Sometimes the easiest way to give your home a facelift is to add new "walls." Enclosed spaces are becoming popular as the open concept seeks to be reinvented. Creating new spaces within your open concept home can add definition and distinction where there was none before. Using freestanding dividers, strategically placed furniture, and even glass partitions can establish partial separation and add depth to your space.
